A 2014 Open Culture street performance commission for Light Night in collaboration with The Harlequin Dynamite Marching Band, composer Simon Knighton, designer Hannah Bitowski and light technician Charlie Pethica, designed to mark the centenary of WW1.
An audio-visual choreographed battle using sound to light technology to produce a sensory, dazzling piece to envelop the audience.
Two opposing sides, one with heavy rhythmical drums, megaphonic vocals and synth, verses melodic brass, vocals and percussion.
Clad in “dazzle” camouflage 3D uniforms, the players move in choreographed formations in order to create visual illusions of a travelling warship.
